Our friend Milos invited us to meet him at Mosswood Park, in Oakland on a sunny Saturday afternoon, to watch the Bay Area Vintage Baseball league. There is a whole league of Bay Area baseball teams that play strictly by 1886 baseball rules. Everything from the uniforms, baseball mitts and bats to the umpire’s handlebar moustache and top hat are how baseball was played in the 1800′s. It really felt like we had stepped back in time when we were watching the game. My favorite part was after the game when the teams saluted the crowd. All the players were really into the game and were actually really good so it was so much fun to watch them play. Can’t wait for the next game!
